new days

What busy days has taught me: trying to pull things through in the midst of fuckedupness. Lesson learnt...

Well I haven't updated since forever while life's pacing rapidly within and around me, clock is still ticking, and monkeys evolving. Right now I'm working on a project, in a competition by Nescafe with mates Satrio, Louis, and Vito. Also got my hands full with events: KOMPeK 15th and Jazz Goes to Campus 35th. I've never thought I can pull things through, but here I am living and making the most out of it with my friends, best friends, boyfriend, and esp. family :)

So to come to think of it, I'm in a holiday right now for God's sake and He knows how busy it's been. Haven't learnt how to drive, stupidly. Currently surprised with the new blogger interface (He knows how long Iven't posted anything). Trying to do some sweet wake up call to my sleepyhead boyfriend (which prolly be sleeping sound at this late moment)... and so on... so on...

So the report is.. this holiday I went for vacation to Lombok-Gili Trawangan-Bali with my family. Not that far away from home, but those are beautiful islands indeed.

West Lombok. Very-very beautiful view for free.

Gili Trawangan. Try snorkeling and diving in this island. Dip a little and the exotic fishes are in front of your eyes!

Local dinner: nasi campur! Try the grilled fish + beer, my parents seemed to like it.

Nice paddy fields in the back of Monkey Forest in Ubud. Just a peek from my hotel's windowsill.

Bebek Bengil (The Dirty Duck Diner). Crisp fried duck to get your tummy stuffed.

Naughty Nuri's. Tried the martini and it was the best value for money. Every sip is worth it.

Babi Guling Bu Oka. If you don't want to queue, try walking/driving a bit further from the one at Tegalalang, turn right and walk +- 50m. Et voila!

Reaaaaaaaally miss this trip!

intervention

My surrounding is full of conflicts these days; the clock never stops spinning, so do troubles swinging around human. Felt terrible to see my country in such a disgraceful state that you wanna think twice before leaving comments upon its people... moreover its government.
I'm not saying I know much about justice or those hardcore stuffs about law, but in fact this country needs to be shaken with lots of groundbreaking breakthrough in some political areas. Its frustrating to see how some bad guys could have the power to rule over amazingly massive people and remain untouchable by the law.

For some major point I'm talking here, let's see the phenomenal case of this country's renowned author/activist/young bright mind: Alanda Kariza whose mother respectively got accused in one of the most SUPERSTITIOUSLY suspicious massive-corruption case in the country: the Century gate. She got punished by 10 years of imprisonment & charged with IDR 10 billion, when in fact the owner of the bank itself got punished only by 8 years!
Simply wonderful it is, the action of those politic&overly-powered and money-equipped gangsters in this country!

Apart from all this political conflicts there are also some social instability due to religion&beliefs differences.
There's no more spirit of unity and harmony in people and I see this huge tendency from people of all backgrounds to shape their minds to a more individualistic society...
What a world! I don't dream a day of living in Jakarta but facing people with as much individual minds as if I'm living in more hectic city as London.

Hopefully this cracks up a bit real soon! Like really, I'm not being idealistic, but seriously this whole situation needs to adapt to the new world. We need to change!

i hate the government.

article : jaringan advokasi tambang's
real issue : PP No. 2 Th 2008 PDF

oh yes i very do. well you know yesterday i read on kompas that the government (means: SBY) has signed an enactment about "commercial use of forests". eww. LOATHFUL. well they put a price tag on our lovely rainforests per meter square: Rp 200-300,- , depends on what it's used for. ????
Price tag per HA
1,2-1,5jt = some chemical gasses or telecommunication etc companies
1,8-2,5jt = somthing like perusahaan tambang horizontal&vertical

well this stupid enactment was made without any scientific research being undergo, and the price tag was simulated by the negotiation between the government AND some entrepreneurs of ninehundred-something companies which wanna change the forest to some other use like mines, chemical gasses manufacturers, etc.

is this the government way to mention that our Indonesia is trying to improve our PNBP (pendapat negara bukan pajak -- state's profit non tax or something similar) in a way to improve our economical condition? how bullshit. the first time i read this i simply cursed the government. yuck.

OH WHERE'S YOUR HEART OUR GOVERNMENT OF INDONESIA? WHERE'S YOUR EMPATHY APAAN NIH KAYA GINIII GUA BENCI BANGET SINTING GILA MAU NINGKATIN PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI KOK MALAH GINI CARANYA?!
